The POWER to change event  it was a free public united evangelistic event which took place in four cities of Greece with a different characteristic in each city.

In Athens, took place at the Olympic Cycling Track, on May 8 or 9, 2015.

In Thessaloniki, took place at the Ivanofeio stadium on May 16, 2015.

In Katerini, took take place at the amphitheater of Katerini’s park on June 13 and

In Larisa took take place at the city’s square between 16 and 19 July.

“ΔΥΝΑΜΗ ν’ αλλάξεις” “POWER to change” includes MUSIC with the participation of Christian artists from various musical genres such as ballads, a band and a multimember choir. In between the musical pieces, the artists as well as other Christians share the STORY of their LIVES, through video, while at the end, Tom Mahairas, share his personal story with the audience.

Tom Mahairas was 7 years old when he migrated to New York with his family in 1957, in order to find their luck. There, he found groups of friends who led him to a life on the street, to the hippy lifestyle and to drugs. Tom found the Power to change, through Christ, something which he suggests to all people he comes across and the opportunities are frequent. On the streets of New York, at the school which he founded for children without opportunities, at the meals for the poor which he maintains for years, at the children’s camp, at maximum security prisons, at the drug centers for men or women, a while back in Thessaloniki, in Athens and recently in Uganda and Sudan, at football fields where people gather to listen to him or in small friendly groups.

The initial thought came from a pastor in Athens, who said that at this point in time where our people are desperate because of our country’s situation and our church brethren are struck by the events∙ maybe this would be the best time for a huge evangelistic meeting where we can gather and invite our friends and acquaintances.

The initial idea was embraced by brethren from almost all the churches of our country, and so we have reached the point of preparations for the event of “POWER to change”.

The event relies on every one of us inviting a few acquaintances to the events in order for us and our friends or acquaintances to attend the event together along with others who will come because of general advertising.

The events will be organized by VISION IN THE CITY/CITIVISION
